Why am I doing this?
I'm doing this because:
1. It's been deemed that blogging is healthy:

2. I want to help others. That's why whatever useful I put here (if anything) at least has a chance to reach other people. That's why I'm blogging instead of writing a diary.

Internet and our minds
This guy seems to be quite right, except that, in my case, I can still focus on something lengthy when I REALLY want to. But, as he points out, one needs a lot of motivation to actually stick with a long piece of work till the end.
